Adirondack History
About The Gore Mountain Region Chamber of Commerce
Winter... We are the home of Gore Mountain,
a premier Northeast ski destination, and Garnet Hill Lodge, rated one
of the Top 10 cross-country ski areas in the United States. Our
beautiful winters welcome skiers, snowshoers, tubers, skaters, and
cocoa-drinkers alike.
Spring... The mighty Hudson River offers endless adventure, from exciting rafting trips to fishermen's delights. The Gore Mountain Region is home to the historic Whitewater Derby during the first weekend in May.
Summer... The area comes alive in the summer with even more Adirondack Region events. Take a scenic ride on the Upper Hudson River
Railroad, uncover a new treasure on a tour of the Barton Garnet Mines,
rise to new heights on a gondola ride. Golf, shopping, boating, hiking,
and biking await. In August, pick up a fiddle during our annual
Bluegrass Festival.
Fall... The spectacular foliage of the Adirondack Mountains
offers a brilliant showcase of color. Enjoy the beauty of autumn in the
Gore Region, and its crisp, comfortable weather for all of your outdoor
pursuits. Visit our Gore Mountain Accommodations Page to find the Gore Mountain Lodging of your dreams.
